Abstract

Voće i povrće uglavnom se konzumira sirovo ili poluprerađeno, zbog čega je za očekivati i veći unos pesticida njihovom konzumacijom u usporedbi s drugim skupinama namirnica. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je procijeniti kakvoću prehrane dječaka u pubertetu i predpubertetu s područja Grada Zagreba (n=30), procijeniti unos pesticida konzumacijom voća i povrća te odrediti postoji li rizik za zdravlje dječaka zbog izloženosti pesticidima. Za procjenu kakvoće prehrane korištena je metoda dnevnika prehrane, a za procjenu unosa pesticida podaci o koncentracijama rezidua pesticida u hrani dobiveni u istraživanju ukupne prehrane. Utvrđen je nedostatan unos ugljikohidrata, vlakana, kalija, kalcija, magnezija i željeza te prekomjeran unos bjelančevina, masti, zasićenih masnih kiselina, natrija i fosfora. Prosječan unos voća i povrća bio je niži od preporučenog. Prosječan broj unesenih rezidua pesticida bio je 5. Temeljem dobivenih niskih vrijednosti kvocijenta opasnosti (<1 %) utvrđeno je da ne postoji rizik od štetnih učinaka pesticida za zdravlje dječaka.

Abstract (english)

As they are mostly consumed raw or semi-processed, an increased intake of pesticides from fruits and vegetables than from other foodstuffs is expected. The aim of this study was to assess the diet quality in group of boys in puberty and pre-puberty from Zagreb (n=30), the intake of pesticide residues from their consumption of fruits and vegetables and related health risk. Food diary method was used to assess diet quality and concentrations of pesticide residues in food obtained from total diet study were used to assess pesticide intake. Insufficient intake of carbohydrates, fibres, potassium, calcium, magnesium and iron was determined as well as an excessive intake of proteins, fats, saturated fatty acids, sodium and phosphorus. Average intake of fruits and vegetables was lower than recommended. On average, 5 pesticide residues were taken per participant. According to low hazard quotient (<1 %), there was no risk from adverse health effects of pesticides for boys.
