Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi reakciju biljke na stres izazvan dugotrajnim sušnim razdobljem te utjecajem povećane gnojidbe fosforom na antioksidativni mehanizam hrasta (Quercus petraea), praćenjem stupnja lipidne peroksidacije i koncentracije vodikovog peroksida (H2O2) u uzorcima lista hrasta. Nadalje, kako bi se odredio utjecaj fosfora i tretmana vode, mjerene su i aktivnosti antioksidativnih enzima (superoksid dismutaze (SOD), nespecifičnih peroksidaza (POD), katalaze (CAT) i askorbat-peroksidaze (APOX)), koji sudjeluju u zaštiti biljaka od oksidativnog stresa u uzorcima lista hrasta. Zaključak istraživanja ukazuje na kompleksan utjecaj količine fosfora, količine vode i aktivnosti antioksidativnih enzima na oksidativni stres i peroksidaciju lipida u hrastovim uzorcima, što pruža važne uvide u mehanizme obrane biljaka u stresnim uvjetima.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to determine the plant's response to stress induced by prolonged drought conditions and the impact of increased phosphorus fertilization on the oak tree's (Quercus petraea) antioxidative mechanism by monitoring the degree of lipid peroxidation and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) concentration in oak leaf samples. Furthermore, to assess the influence of phosphorus and water treatment, the activities of antioxidative enzymes (superoxide dismutase (SOD), nonspecific peroxidases (POD), catalase (CAT), and ascorbate peroxidases (APOX)), which participate in plant protection against oxidative stress, were measured in oak leaf samples. The conclusion of the study indicates a complex interplay between phosphorus concentration, water quantity, and the activities of antioxidant enzymes in oak samples, impacting oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation. This provides valuable insights into plant defense mechanisms under stressful conditions.
