Abstract

Niske doze pesticida kojima su djeca izložena prehranom mogu negativno utjecati na njihovo zdravlje. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je procijeniti kakvoću prehrane dječaka u dobi 11-12 godina s područja Grada Zagreba i Zagrebačke županije (n=62), procijeniti unos pesticida konzumacijom hrane te odrediti postoji li potencijalan rizik za zdravlje. Za procjenu kakvoće prehrane korištena je metoda 24- satnog prisjećanja unosa hrane i pića, a za procjenu unosa pesticida podaci o razinama rezidua pesticida u hrani dobiveni u istraživanju ukupne prehrane. Utvrđen je prekomjeran unos makronutrijenata (bjelančevina, masti, zasićenih masnih kiselina) i natrija. Prosječan unos vitamina A, B₁ i B₂ te kalija, kalcija, fosfora, magnezija i željeza bio je niži od preporučenog. Prosječan broj unesenih rezidua pesticida bio je 6. Više od trećine ispitanika (64-72 %) unosi fludioksonil i boskalid putem voća i povrća. Vrijednosti kvocijenta ciljne opasnosti za većinu rezidua bile su <1 %. Zaključeno je da ne postoji rizik od štetnih učinaka pesticida za zdravlje dječaka.

Abstract (english)

Low dietary exposure to pesticides in children may adversely affect their health. This study aimed to assess the diet quality in group of boys age 11-12 years from Zagreb and Zagreb County (n=62), dietary intake of pesticides and related health risk. The 24-hour dietary recall method was used to assess diet quality and the levels of pesticide residues in food, determined in total diet study, were used to assess pesticide intake. An excessive intake of macronutrients (proteins, fats, saturated fatty acids) and sodium was found. The average intake of vitamins A, B₁ and B₂ as well as potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and iron was lower than recommended. On average, 6 pesticide residues were taken. More
than a third of participants (64-72%) were exposed to fludioxonil and boscalid by fruit and vegetable consumption. For most of the residues, obtained hazard quotients were <1 %. In conclusion, there was no risk from adverse health effects of pesticides for boys.
