Abstract

U sklopu istraživanja zdravlja, starenja i umirovljenja u Europi kreirana je SHARE baza podatka o prehrambenim i životnim navikama te zdravstvenim parametrima osoba starijih od 50 godina s područja Europe i Izraela te su za potrebe ovog rada, iz navedene baze, korišteni podaci za osobe starije životne dobi iz RH ( N =1187), prikupljeni u 2021. godini. Analizirani su podaci o prehrambenim i životnim navikama te zdravstvenom stanju starijih osoba pa se željelo utvrditi postoje li regionalne razlike i/ili sličnosti sukladno nacionalnoj klasifikaciji statističkih regija. Prema dizajniranom binarnom sustavu koji određuje sličnost ispitanikove prehrane s načelima mediteranske prehrane, 9,2 % ispitanika starije životne dobi u RH-u slijedi u potpunosti principe mediteranske prehrane. Generalno, za sve ispitivane parametre koji ukazuju na zdravstveni status, kvalitetu te način života bolji rezultati zabilježeni su kod osoba koje slijede principe mediteranske prehrane u odnosu na one koji to ne čine.

Abstract (english)

As part of the research on health, aging, and retirement in Europe, the SHARE database was created on the dietary and lifestyle habits and health parameters of people over 50 years old from Europe and Israel. For this work, data for the elderly people from the Republic of Croatia (N = 1187), collected in 2021, were used from the aforementioned database. Data on dietary and lifestyle habits and the health status of the elderly were analyzed, and the aim was to determine whether there are regional differences and/or similarities by the national classification of statistical regions. According to the designed binary system that determines the similarity of the respondent's diet with the principles of the Mediterranean diet, 9.2% of respondents of older age in the Republic of Croatia fully follow the principles of the Mediterranean diet. In general, for all examined parameters that indicate the state of health, quality, and lifestyle, better results were recorded for people who follow the principles of the Mediterranean diet compared to those who do not.
