Abstract

Studentska prehrana područje je interesa istraživanja kojima se želi utvrditi povezanost između prehrambenog obrasca usvojenog u obitelji i samostalnih prehrambenih izbora u studentskoj dobi. Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati prehrambene navike studentica Sveučilišta u Zagrebu, učestalost konzumacije pojedinih namirnica te procijeniti usklađenost s globalnim smjernicama za pravilnu prehranu. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 56 studentica u dobi od 18 do 24 godine te su korišteni opći upitnik i Upitnik o kvaliteti prehrane (DQQ, eng. Diet Quality Questionnaire). Rezultati su pokazali da su sve ispitanice (100,0 %) u prehrani imale zastupljene škrobne namirnice, hranu životinjskog podrijetla i mesne prerađevine uz mnogo manju zastupljenost jaja (32,1 %), mahunarki (32,1 %) i orašastih plodova (37,5 %), dok minimum potreban unos s obzirom na prehrambene preporuke nije zadovoljilo 22,0 % ispitanica. Potrebno je povećati konzumaciju namirnica koje štite od razvoja kroničnih nezaraznih bolesti te educirati studentsku populaciju o važnosti prehrane za dugoročno pozitivan učinak na zdravlje i kognitivne sposobnosti.

Abstract (english)

Student diet is an area of research that aims to determine the relationship between the dietary pattern adopted in the family and independent dietary choices at student age. The aim of this study was to investigate the dietary habits of female students at the University of Zagreb, their consumption of certain foods, and their adherence to global guidelines for adequate nutrition. 56 female students between the ages of 18 and 24 participated in the research, for which a general questionnaire and the Diet Quality Questionnaire (DQQ) were used. The results showed that all subjects (100.0 %) had starchy foods, foods of animal origin and meat products in their diet, with significantlylower proportion of eggs (32.1 %), legumes (32.1 %) and nuts (37.5 %), while 22 % of respondents did not meet the minimum dietary recommendations There is a need to increase the consumption of foods that protect against the development of chronic non-communicable diseases and to educate students about the importance of nutrition for a long-term positive effects on health and cognitive abilities.
