Abstract

Menstrualni ciklus je ključan proces ženskog reproduktivnog sustava koji uzrokuje fiziološke i psihološke promjene u tijelu žene svakog mjeseca. U posljednje vrijeme raste svijest o važnosti detaljnijeg proučavanja ženske fiziologije, posebno menstrualnog ciklusa i njegovog utjecaja na kvalitetu života žena, kao i ključne uloge prehrane u očuvanju ženskog reproduktivnog zdravlja. More ciklusa, menstrualne poremećaje, sindrom policističnih jajnika (PCOS) te plodnost žena. Istraživanje je pokazalo da hormonalne fluktuacije tijekom menstrualnog ciklusa značajno utječu na prehrambene potrebe žena tijekom ciklusa. Pravilna prehrana, koja uključuje uravnotežen unos makronutrijenata i adekvatan unos mikronutrijenata, ključna je za održavanje zdravog menstrualnog ciklusa, dok nepravilnosti u njihovom unosu, osobito polinezasićenih masnih kiselina i mikronutrijenata, mogu negativno utjecati na reproduktivne funkcije žena. Određene komponente hrane mogu ublažiti simptome menstrualnih poremećaja i PCOS-a. Abstract (english)

The menstrual cycle is a crucial process of the female reproductive system that causes physiological and psychological changes in a woman's body every month. Recently, there has been an increasing awareness of the importance of a more detailed study of women's physiology, particularly the menstrual cycle and its impact on women's quality of life, as well as the critical role of diet in maintaining women's reproductive health. The study has shown that hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle significantly influence women's dietary needs. Proper nutrition, including a balanced intake of macronutrients and adequate intake of micronutrients, is crucial for maintaining a healthy menstrual cycle, while irregularities in their intake, especially PUFA, vitamins, and minerals, can negatively affect women's reproductive functions.
