Abstract

Ekstrakcija potpomognuta mikrovalovima (MAE) je ekološki prihvatljivija metoda izolacije polifenolnih spojeva iz prirodnih supstrata. Cilj istraživanja je bio odabir optimalnih ekstrakcijskih parametara (sastav otapala, temperatura, i vrijeme ekstrakcije) za izolaciju polifenola iz cvijeta i lista bijelog gloga (Crataegus monogyna). Koncentracija ukupnih polifenolnih spojeva određena je Folin-Ciocalteu metodom. Na ekstrakcijski kapacitet izolacije svih polifenola značajno utječu polarnost ekstrakcijskog otapala pri kojem se provodi MAE. Rezultati su pokazali da je binarni sustav otapala 50%-tne vodene otopine etanola učinkovitiji od 30%-tne vodene otopine etanola u ekstrakciji polifenola. Optimalni uvjeti pri kojima su dobivene najveće koncentracije polifenolnih spojeva primjenom MAE su: snaga mikrovalova 300 W, temperatura 65 ˚C i vrijeme trajanja ekstrakcije 9 min.

Abstract (english)

Microwave assisted extraction (MAE) is ecologically more acceptable method of isolation of polyphenolic compounds from natural substrates. The objective was to select optimal extraction parameters (solvent composition, temperature and extraction time) for the isolation of polyphenols from Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) flowers and leaves. The concentrations of total polyphenols were determined by the Folin-Ciocalteu method. The extraction isolation capacity of total polyphenols was significantly influenced by polarity of extraction solvent used for MAE. Results showed that the binary solvent system with 50% aqueous ethanol solution is more efficient than that of 30% aqueous ethanol solution. The optimum conditions which resulted with the highest concentration of polyphenolic compounds using MAE were: microwave power 300W, temperature 65° C and the duration of the extraction of 9 min.
