Abstract

Praćenje uhranjenosti djece vrlo je važno kako bi se na vrijeme uočilo imaju li tendenciju razvoja prekomjerne tjelesne mase ili pretilosti te preventivno djelovati ili pomoći u smanjivanju komplikacija koje su već nastale zbog pretilosti. Cilj ovog rada je procijeniti uhranjenost učenika prvog i drugog razreda te utvrditi potencijalne razlike, ovisno o školskom programu koji pohađaju te primjenjivost različitih metoda u procjeni uhranjenosti. Pomoću percentilnih vrijednosti je procijenjena njihova uhranjenost te je određeno da li je indeks tjelesne mase dobar pokazatelj uhranjenosti. Razlike u metodama procjenjene su na osnovu primjenjene Bland-Altmanove metode. Također je analizirana ponuda energije i nutritivnih tvari u školskoj prehrani s ciljem procijene kvalitete njihove učeničke prehrane, tj. kvalitete školske prehrane. Djeca provode većinu vremena u školi i školska kuhinja je idealno mjesto gdje ih se može naučiti pravilnim prehrambenim navikama. Bland-Altmanova metoda pokazala je kako je BMI za dob parametar koji bi se trebao koristiti u procjeni uhranjenosti navedene populacije.

Abstract (english)

Monitoring of the nutritional status of children is very important in order to act if a tendency of development of overweight or obesity is noticed and to help to reduce the complications that could be caused by obesity. The aim of this study was to assess the nutritional status of first and second class pupils and to identify potential differences, depending on the school program they attend as well as to identify differences in applied methods used in assessing nutritional status. In the estimation of their nutritional status were used the percentile values and the aim was to determined whether the body mass index is a good indicator of nutritional status of this population group. Differences in the methods are estimated on the basis of the applied Bland-Altman method. Also was analyzed the energy and nutritional offer of school menus with a view to assess the students' diet, ie. quality of school meals. Children spend most of their time in school and the school kitchen is the perfect place where they can learn proper eating habits. Results of appling Bland-Altman method showed that the BMI for age is the parameter that should be used in assessing the nutritional status of this population.
