Abstract

Cilj rada je utvrditi utjecaj prehrane u učeničkim domovima na antropometrijske mjere učenika. U istraživanju su primjenjeni matematički modeli linearnog oblika koji su razvijeni prema dobi i spolu. Prvi model je nazvan A-model, čija je ulazna, nezavisna veličina energija. Drugi model je B-model koji razmatra utjecaj sastava energije obroka učeničkih domova. Odnos između koeficijenata korelacije stvarnih antropometrijskih veličina i odgovarajućih procjenjenih vrijednosti dobivenih predloženim modelima je sljedeći: koeficijenti dobiveni jednostavnim A–modelom, koji sadrži samo jednu nezavisnu varijablu, energiju, su većinom niži i nikad nisu viši od onih dobivenih B–modelom. Korelacije su utvrđene i za tjelesnu masu i tjelesnu visinu djevojaka i mladića u odnosu na prehranu, ali stupanj korelacije nije izražen u tolikoj mjeri kao što je to kod indeksa tjelesne mase (R=0,81). Modelima je potvrđeno da nepravilno planiranje prehrane u učeničkim domovima štetno utječe na antropometrijske veličine mladića i djevojaka te da je važna kakvoća (B-model), a ne samo količina (A-model) energetskog unosa.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this work is to affirm nutrition impact in boarding schools on anthropometric measurements of students. Linear mathematic models are used and models were developed according to the age and gender. The first one is model-A whose independent variable is energy. Second one is the model-B and it has considers impact of energy composition in boarding schools meals, as input variables. The correlation coefficients were analysed observing the relations between the experimental anthropometric measurements and estimated measurements by using proposed models. The coefficients gained by the model-A which included only energy as independent variable, are mostly lower and never higher than coefficients gained by model-B. Correlations for body mass and body height for male student and female students are significant but not as significant as the correlation for the body mass index. Models confirmed that improper nutrition planning in boarding schools adversely affects anthropometric measures of female and male students accommodated in them, and a consequential conclusion is that more important is the quality (B-model) and not just the quantity (A-model) of the energy intake.
