Abstract

Salbutamol je β2-adrenergički agonist koji se u terapeutskim dozama koristi za liječenje kronične opstruktivne bolesti pluća, posebno astme. U dozama 5-10 puta većim od terapeutskih djeluje kao promotor rasta stoke te predstavlja potencijalnu opasnost za zdravlje ljudi i životinja. Abstract (english)

Salbutamol is β2-adrenergic agonist which is used in therapeutic doses for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases, especially asthma. In doses 5-10 times higher than the therapeutic one, it acts as a growth promotor in livestock and as such represents a potential health hazard to humans and animals. In this paper, genotoxic properties of salbutamol were identified; its ability to cause DNA breakage in liver tissue and lymphocytes of guinea pigs (0,25 and 2,5 mg kg-1 of...
