Abstract

Transplantacija srca je kirurški zahvat namijenjen pacijentima s teškim oštećenjem srca kod kojih niti jedna druga metoda liječenja nije pokazala rezultate. U posttransplantacijskom periodu, pacijentima prijeti rizik od čestih zatajenja srca, nuspojava imunosupresivnih lijekova, infekcija, odbacivanja organa i drugih komplikacija. Uz uporabu lijekova, naglasak treba postaviti i na pravilnu prehranu. Mediteranska prehrana pokazala je svoj blagotvoran utjecaj na zdravlje kardiovaskularnog sustava, pa se, uz određene prilagodbe, preporuča pacijentima nakon transplantacije srca. Cilj ovog rada je, na temelju nalaza pacijenata, utvrditi utjecaj prilagođene mediteranske dijete na njihov oporavak, te utjecaj na bitne parametre koji se prate tijekom posttransplantacijskog perioda.

Abstract (english)

Heart transplantation is a surgical procedure for patients with severe heart failure in whom other methods of treatment showed no results. In the posttransplant period, patients at risk of frequent herat failure, side effects ofimmunosuppressive drugs, infection, organ rejection and other complicatons. With the use of drugs, the emphasis shoul be placed on proper nutrition. The Mediterranean diet has shown its beneficial effects on cardiovascular health, so that, with certain adjustements, it is recommended to patients after heart transplantation. The aim oft his paper is based on the findings oft he patients, to determine the influence of the Mediterranean diet adapted to their recovery, and the impact on the essential parameters that are monitored during the posttransplant period.
