Abstract

U ovom istraživanju proučavan je proces proizvodnje etanola na svježem soku šećerne repe u bioreaktoru s mješalom. Šaržni i polukontinuirani proces proizvodnje etanola provedeni su s kvascem Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Tijekom proizvodnje etanola na svježem soku šećerne repe šaržnim postupkom dobiveni su ovi pokazatelji uspješnosti proizvodnje etanola: YP = 67,89 g/L, YP/S = 0,40 g/g, E = 78,35%, Pr = 0,56 g/Lh, a tijekom polukontinuiranog postupka: YP = 30,12 g/L, YP/S = 0,48 g/g, E = 80,13%, Pr = 0,72 g/Lh. Dobiveni rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je polukontinuirana tehnika vođenja procesa proizvodnje etanola bila uspješnija u odnosu na šaržnu tehniku vođenja proizvodnje etanola. Na osnovi rezultata istraživanja može se zaključiti da je svježi sok šećerne repe pogodan supstrat za proizvodnju etanola.

Abstract (english)

In this research production of ethanol from raw sugar beet juice in stirred tank bioreactor. Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae was used as a production microorganism. In this investigation during batch ethanol production following bioprocess efficiency parameters were obtained: YP = 67,89 g/L, YP/S= 0,4 g/g, E = 78,35% and Pr = 0,56 g/Lh. However, in repeated batch ethanol production bioprocess efficiency parameters have following values: YP= 30,12 g/L, YP/S = 0,48 g/g, E = 80,13%, Pr = 0,72 g/Lh. The results obtained in this reseach clearly show that repeated batch process is more effiecient compared to the batch process. On the base of these results it can be also concluded the raw sugar beet juice could be succesfully used for ethanol production.
