Abstract
Duhan je jednogodišnja zeljasta biljka koja sadrži različite anorganske i organske tvari. Kvaliteta duhana ovisi o kemijskom sastavu i odnosu pojedinih kemijskih komponenata. Grupe kemijskih spojeva koje se najčešće određuju kako bi se ocjenile osobine duhana su nikotin, bjelancevine, ukupni dušik i šećeri. Udio ovih kemijskih komponenti u duhanu ovisi o genetskim karakteristikama sorte, agrotehničkim mjerama, klimatskim uvjetima, načinu sušenja. Eksperimentalnim radom određene su kolicine nikotina, bjelančevina, ukupnog dušika, šećera i pepela u virdžinijskom duhanu.
Abstract (english)
Tobacco is an annual green type of plant wich contains different inorganic and organic substanes. Tobacco plant's quality depends on chemical composition and relationship of chemical sustances. The most important chemical compounds of tobacco plant are nicotin, total nitrogen, proteins and sugar. The amount of these chemical compounds in tobacco depends on genetic construction, agricultural standard, drying and climate condition. With experimental work are detected a share of nicotin, proteins, total nitrogen, sugar and ash in virginia tobacco.
