Abstract

U ovom radu ispitivan je utjecaj dodatka 3-hidroksi-4-hidroksiiminometil-5-hidroksimetil-2-metil-1-(4'-nitrofenacil)piridinijeva bromida na proces korozije legure aluminija (AlMg3), kositra i željeza u 3%-tnoj otopini natrijeva klorida. Vrijednosti brzina korozije uzoraka AlMg3, kositra i željeza određene su gravimetrijskom metodom promjene mase uzoraka, koji su izlagani djelovanju 3%- tne otopine NaCl kao osnovne model otopine i djelovanju 3%- tne otopine NaCl s različitim koncentracijama ispitivanog spoja (10-3, 10-4 i 10-5 mol L-1). Određivanja brzina korozije kositra i legure aluminija (AlMg3) su provedena pri temperaturama 25°C, 55°C, 70°C i 80°C, a željeza pri 25°C. Na osnovi vrijednosti brzina korozije, određene su pokrivenosti površina i stupnjevi zaštite od korozije. Ispitivani spoj pokazuje dobru zaštitu AlMg3, kositra i željeza od korozije u 3%-tnoj otopini NaCl, a učinkovitost inhibitora uglavnom raste s povećanjem koncentracije inhibitora.

Abstract (english)

The effect of 3 – hydroxy – 4 hydroxyiminomethyl – 5 hydroxymethyl – 2 – methyl – 1 – (4' – nitrophenacyl) bromide on the process of corrosion of the aluminium alloy AlMg3, tin and iron in 3% saline solution was investigated. The rates of corrosion of AlMg3, tin and iron were determined by the gravimetric analysis of samples of aluminium alloys (AlMg3), tin and iron exposed to 3% NaCl solution and samples exposed concurently to 3% NaCl solution and 3–hydroxy–4 hydroxyiminomethyl – 5 hydroxymethyl –2–methyl–1–(4'–nitrophenacyl)pyridine bromide, at three different concentration levels of the investigated molecule (10-3, 10-4 and 10-5 mol L-1). The rates of corrosion of tin and iron were determined at 25°C, 55°C, 70°C and 80°C, whereas the rate of corrosion of AlMg3 was determined only at 25°C. Both the degree of surface coverage and inhibition efficiency of the investigated molecule were determined based upon the rates of corrosion of AlMg3, tin and iron in 3% NaCl solution. The investigated molecule shows efficient protection of AlMg3, tin and iron against corrosion in 3% saline solution. An increase in the concentration of the inhibitor generally results in an increase in inhibition efficiency.
