Abstract

Kumarini su skupina organskih spojeva koja se prirodno pojavljuje u mnogim vrstama biljaka. Osim kao aditivi, primjenjuju se i u sintezi lijekova. Dehidroocetna kiselina (DHA) i njeni derivati su važni spojevi koji se najčešće koriste kao konzervansi i antimikrobni agensi. DHA ima široku upotrebu u prehrambenoj i farmaceutskoj industriji te u organskim sintezama. U ovom radu istraživan je antimikrobni učinak sintetiziranih derivata kumarina i dehidroocetne kiseline na odabrane sojeve mikroorganizama. Da bi se odredila osjetljivost tih mikroorganizama korištena je difuzijska metoda, a istraživanja su provedena s različitim volumenima određenih koncentracija istraživanih spojeva. Dokazano je da istraživani spojevi danih koncentracija u određenim volumenima različito inhibiraju rast odabranih sojeva mikroorganizama.

Abstract (english)

Coumarins are a group of organic compounds which are naturally found in many kinds of plants. They are used as additives and in drug synthesis. Dehydroacetic acid (DHA) and its derivates are an important class of compounds which are used as preservatives and antimicrobial agents. The DHA is beeing used in food and pharmaceutic industry, and in organic synthesis. In this thesis, synthetized derivates of coumarin and dehydroacetic acid, were tested for specific antimicrobial activity. The diffusion technique was used to determine the sensitivity of the chosen microorganisms. Research was done with different volumes and specific concentrations of the researched compounds. It has been proven that the researched compounds, at certain volumes and given concentrations, differently inhibit the growth of the chosen microorganisms.
