Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi i usporediti unos energije, makronutrijenata i mikronutrijenata, s posebnim naglaskom na unos Ca, te procjeniti strukturu i kvalitetu prehrane ispitanica sa smanjenom u odnosu na osobe sa zadovoljavajućom mineralnom gustoćom kostiju. Za procjenu kakvoće prehrane korištene su dvije dijetetičke metode: kvantitativni upitnik o učestalosti konzumiranja namirnica i pića (kvantitativni-FFQ) i 24h prisjećanje. Procjena energetskog i nutritivnog unosa izvršena je obzirom na dnevni preporučeni unos, te prema DRI vrijednostima za dob i spol. Rezultati su prikazani obzirom na mineralnu gustoću kostiju ispitanica i jednim se dijelom podudaraju, iako metoda 24- satnog prisjećanja daje uglavnom veće rezultate za sve ispitivane parametre Prema obje metode rezultati dobiveni od ispitanica sa smanjenom mineralnom gustoćom kostiju pokazuju smanjeni unos energije, te kalcija i ostalih mikronutrijenata neophodnih za održavanje koštanog tkiva u odnosu na prepuruke, kao i u odnosu na unos istih kod ispitanica sa adekvatnom mineralnom gustoćom kostiju.. Unos proteina je prema obje metode i u obje skupine ispitanica veći od preporuka za dob i spol, dok je unos masti kod ispitanica sa smanjenom mineralnom gustoćom kostiju manji od preporučenog prema metodi 24- satnog prisjećanja.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this research was to establish and evaluate the intake of energy, macronutrients and micronutrients with the emphasis on the calcium intake. Second aim was to estimate the structure and quality of food intake of examinees with decreased mineral bone density in relation with persons with adequate bone mineral density. Two dietetic methods were used to appraise the quality of their diets: quantitative food frequency questionnaire (quantitative FFQ) and 24-hour recall method. The estimate of energetic and nutritive intake was based on recommended daily intake and it was given with reference to Dietary Reference Intake (DRI), for age and gender. The results were displayed with reference to bone mineral density of the examinees and are partially coincidental, even though the 24-hour recall method produces higher results for all parameters. According to both dietary assessment methods, the results gained from decreased bone mineral density examinees show a decreased intake of energy, calcium and micronutrients indispensable for maintaining the health of the bone tissue. These results are also lower, in comparison with the control group. Both methods and both groups show an increased intake of proteins. Parallel to that, 24-hour method shows the intake of fat to be lower than average, in the case of decreased bone density examinees.
