Abstract

U ovom radu proučavana je efikasnost ekstrakcije polifenola iz kore mandarinke, nusproizvoda nastalog tijekom postupka obrade mandarinke. Ekstrakcija je provedena refluksiranjem (1,5 h) na uzorcima usitnjene, svježe kore mandarinke primjenom vode, vodenih otopina etanola (φ = 25, 50 i 70 %, v/v) i 96 %-tnog etanola. Maseni udio ukupnih fenola (UF) i flavonoida (UFL) u ekstraktima kore mandarinke određen je UV/Vis spektrofotometrijskom metodom. Dobiveni rezultati su pokazali da maseni udio polifenola u pripravljenim ekstraktima raste s povećanjem volumnog udjela etanola. Budući da su 50 i 70 %-tne vodene otopine etanola najefikasnija ekstrakcijska sredstva pri izolaciji UF i UFL, ove otopine će se koristiti u daljnjim postupcima ekstrakcije polifenola primjenom novih, inovativnih tehnika.

Abstract (english)

In this work was determined the efficiency of polyphenols extraction from tangerine peel, by-product produced during the tangerine processing. Extraction was performed by refluxing (1,5 h) on samples of grinded, fresh tangerine using water, water solution of ethanol (φ = 25, 50 and 70 %, v/v) and 99 % ethanol. Mass fractions of total phenols (TP) and flavonoids (TFL) in tangerine peel extracts was determined by UV/Vis spectrophotometric method. The obtained results showed that the mass fraction of polyphenols in prepared tangerine peel extracts arise with increases of volume fractions of ethanol. Due to the fact that 50 and 70 % solution of ethanol are most efficient extraction medium for TP and TFL isolation, these solutions will be used in the further procedure of polyphenols extraction applying new, innovative techniques.
