Prevlast bakterije mliječne kiseline Lactobacillus brevis L62 nad Escherichia coli StrR u mješovitoj bakterijskoj kulturi

Abstract

Bakterije su u svom prirodnom okolišu neprestano izložene različitim uvjetima stresa i suživotu s drugim mikroorganizmima. Navedeni uvjeti vrlo su slični uvjetima stacionarne faze tijekom uzgoja u laboratoriju. U ovom radu istražen je konkurentski rast stanica patogene enterobakterije Escherichia coli (1 i 10 dana stara) koja je rezistentna na djelovanje antibiotika streptomicina i stanica bakterijske kulture Lactobacillus brevis L62 (1 dan stara) koja nosi prirodnu rezistenciju na nalidiksinsku kiselinu. Navedene bakterijske kulture pomiješane su u omjeru 1:10 i 1:100, nakon čega je praćen njihov rast tijekom produljene stacionarne faze rasta. Dinamika rasta navedenih bakterijskih kultura proučavana je šaržnim uzgojem u minimalnoj podlozi, na temperaturi od 37 °C. Mlada bakterijska kultura L. brevis L62 rastom je suzbila patogenu bakterijsku kulturu E. coli StrR. Time se pokazala pogodnim konkurentnim sojem za njeno uklanjanje.

Abstract (english)

Bacteria in their natural environments live under different stress conditions and cohabitation with other microorganisms. Those conditions are very similar to stationary growth phase conditions during laboratory cultivation. In this paper is about to study of the competitive growth of the pathogenic enterobacteria Escherichia coli (1 and 10 days old) that is resistant to antibiotic streptomycin and the bacterial culture Lactobacillus brevis L62 (1 day old) that carries a natural resistance to nalidixic acid. Mentioned bacterial cultures were mixed in 1:10 and 1:100 ratio and observed during prolonged stationary phase of growth. Growth dynamics of those bacterial batch cultures was studied in minimal medium at temperature of 37 °C. The young bacterial culture L. brevis L62 supressed growth of patogenic E. coli StrR. This makes L. brevis suitable choice to eradicate E. coli StrR.
