Abstract

Primjena biljnih ekstrakata pri inhibiciji korozije metala i metalnih legura je predmet mnogobrojnih znanstvenih istraživanja. U ovom radu je istražena mogućnost primjene ekstrakta ružmarina pri inhibiciji korozije kositra, metala u sastavu bijelog lima, najčešće korištenog ambalažnog materijala pri procesu konzerviranja prehrambenih proizvoda. Ekstrakcija ružmarina je provedena visokim tlakom (400 MPa, 3, 6 i 9 min) i refluksiranjem (90 i 180 min) upotrebom vodenih otopina etanola i acetona. U pripravljenim ekstraktima su određeni ukupni fenoli i flavonoidi, te antioksidacijska aktivnost primjenom UV/Vis spektrofotometrije. Antikorozijsko djelovanje etanolnog ( = 70 %) ekstrakta ružmarina je određeno gravimetrijskom metodom na pločicama kositra. Efikasnost inhibicije od 75,04 % u otopini natrijeva acetata/octene kiseline i 90,63 % u otopini natrijeva acetata/natrijeva klorida je pokazala da se ružmarin može koristiti ne samo kao efikasan, već i jeftin, jestiv i ekološki prihvatljiv inhibitor korozije kositra.

Abstract (english)

Application of plant extracts for corrosion inhibition of metals and metal alloys has become the subject of many scientific studies. In this work was investigated the application of rosemary extract for tin corrosion inhibition, metal in tinplate composition, most frequently used packaging material in the food canning. Extraction of rosemary was performed by high pressure (400 MPa 3, 6 and 9 min) and refluxing (90 and 180 min) applying water solution of ethanol and acetone. In prepared extracts were determined the total phenols and flavonoids and antioxidative activity by UV/Vis spectrophotometry. Anticorrosion action of ethanolic ( = 70 %) rosemary extracts was determined by gravimetric method on tin specimens. Inhibition efficiency of 75.04 % in sodium acetate/acetic acid solution and 90.63 % in sodium acetate/sodium chloride solution showed that rosemary plant could be used not only as efficient, but also as cheap, edible and ecologically acceptable corrosion inhibitor of tin.
