Abstract

Svrha ovog rada je promotriti utjecaj pulsirajućeg UV svjetla na modelnu kulturu Lactobacillus plantarum L73 upakiranu u PP/Ac/PVDC i PPmet/PE ambalažu pri različitim udaljenostima uzorka (1,9, 4,65, 7,23, 9,75 i 13,65 cm) te vremenima tretiranja (5, 15, 30 i 60 sekundi). Nakon tretmana je provedena diferencijalna motridbena kalorimetrija kako bi se utvrdile potencijalne promjene barijernih svojstava oba ambalažna materijala. Rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da dolazi do potpune inaktivacije bakterije L. plantarum L73 ukoliko je pakirana u PP/Ac/PVDC ambalažu, dok PPmet/PE ambalaža onemogućava redukciju bakterije zbog nepropusnosti UV zračenja. DSC analiza je pokazala da djelovanjem pulsirajućeg svjetla nije došlo do promjene u strukturi niti jednog ambalažnog materijala.

Abstract (english)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of pulsed UV light on Lactobacillus plantarum L73 packaged in PP/Ac/PVDC and PPmet/PE at different distances of the sample (1,9, 4,65, 7,23, 9,75 i 13,65 cm) and treatment times (5, 15, 30 i 60 seconds). Differential scanning calorimetry was done after the treatment to determine potential changes of barrier properties of both packaging. Research results show that complete inactivation of L. Plantarum L73 was achieved if the bacteria was packaged in PP/Ac/PVDC, while PPmet/PE packaging disables reduction of the bacteria because it's impermeable to UV light. DSC analysis showed that pulsed UV light didn't cause changes in the structure of neither of the packaging materials.
