Abstract

Uređaj za pročišćavanje otpadnih voda (UPOV) Delnice je uređaj II. stupnja pročišćavanja koji radi na principu biološke obrade otpadne vode u sekvencijalnim šaržnim reaktorima (SBR) s istovremenom aerobnom stabilizacijom mulja. Kako bi se provjerila uspješnost rada uređaja, u ovom radu analizirani su fizikalno-kemijski parametri na ulazu i izlazu UPOV-a: kemijska po-trošnja kisika (KPK), biokemijska potrošnja kisika (BPK5), suspendirane tvari, ukupni dušik i ukupni fosfor. Influent je okarakteriziran omjerima parametara te je izračunato prosječno se-zonsko opterećenje UPOV-a koje je najveće u ljeti zbog povećanog turizma. Izlazne vrijednosti KPK, BPK5 i suspendiranih tvari su ispod MDK što ukazuje da je biološko pročišćavanje otpadnih voda na UPOV-u vrlo učinkovito. Uređaj uspješno uklanja dušik i fosfor te je obra-đena voda dobre kakvoće za ispust u Delnički potok. Omjeri parametara pokazuju kako otpa-dna voda ima visoku biorazgradivost te bi mikroorganizmi u SBR bazenu trebali imati dovoljan izvor ugljika i hrane za uklanjanje dušika i fosfora.

Abstract (english)

The Delnice wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operates on the principle of biological wastewater treatment in sequential batch reactors (SBR) with simultaneous aerobic sludge sta-bilization. In order to verify the efficiency of the plant, this work analyzes the physico-chemical parameters in the influent and effluent of the WWTP: chemical oxygen demand (COD), bio-chemical oxygen demand (BOD5), suspended solids, total nitrogen and total phosphorus. The influent was characterized based on the parameter ratios, and the average seasonal load of the WWTP was calculated. The ratios show that the highest load occurred in summer due to in-creased tourism. The baseline values of COD, BOD5 and suspended solids are below the limit, indicating that the biological wastewater treatment in the WWTP is very efficient. The plant successfully removes nitrogen and phosphorus. The treated water is of good quality for dis-charge into the Delnički stream. The ratios of the parameters show that the wastewater has a high biodegradability and the microorganisms in the SBR have a sufficient carbon source to remove nitrogen and phosphorus.
