Abstract

Organske kiseline su ekonomski važni proizvodi s brojnim primjenama u različitim područjima života. Biotehnološka proizvodnja organskih kiselina je stoga postala brzo rastuće područje. S obzirom na koncept današnjeg kružnog gospodarstva, lignocelulozna biomasa može se koristiti u industrijskoj proizvodnji kao obnovljiva sirovina za razne biotehnološke proizvode. Korištenje takvih sirovina omogućuje ekonomski i ekološki održivo dobivanje proizvoda visoke vrijednosti. Lignocelulozni otpad koji nastaje u prehrambenoj industriji ima ogroman biotehno loški potencijal. Predmet interesa ovog rada je mogućnost korištenja lignoceluloznog otpada, nastalog tijekom proizvodnje hrane, kao sirovine za proizvodnju fumarne i itakonske kiseline biotehnološkim procesima.

Abstract (english)

Organic acids are economically important products with numerous applications in different areas of life. Biotechnological production of organic acids has therefore become a rapidly growing field. Considering the concept of today's circular economy, lignocellulosic biomass can be used in industrial production as renewable raw materials for various biotechnological products. The use of such raw materials enable the economically and ecologically sustaina ble production of high-value products. Lignocellulosic waste, generated in the food industry, has enormous biotechnological potential. The subject of interest in this paper is the possibility of using lignocellulosic waste, created during food production, as a raw material for the pro duction of fumaric and itaconic acid by biotechnological processes.
