Abstract

Anabolici u stočarskoj proizvodnji su organsko-kemijske tvari koje pripadaju skupini pospješivaca rasta. Stimuliraju rast tkiva utjecajem na metaboličke procese u sintezi proteina. Imaju sposobnost razgradnje masti i povećanja iskoristivosti hrane pa tako mogu značajno povećati tjelesnu masu životinja. Zbog spomenutih svojstava koristili su se u proizvodnji mesa. Brojnim istraživanjima se pokazalo da imaju toksičan učinak na zdravlje ljudi i životinja. Takvo djelovanje je dovelo do zabrane njihove uporabe u zemljama Europske Unije. Zbog ekonomske dobiti njihova zlouporaba je i danas poznata. Razlikuje se 6 skupina anaboličkih tvari, a to su: stilbeni (derivati stilbena, njihove soli i esteri); antitireoidne tvari; prirodni steroidni spolni hormoni; sintetski steroidni spolni hormoni; laktoni rezorcilne kiseline i beta agonisti. Analizom mesa u Republici Hrvatskoj može se zaključiti da nema zlouporabe ovih tvari.

Abstract (english)

Anabolics in animal production are organic-chemical substances belonging to the group of growth promoters. They can stimulate tissue growth influencing the metabolic processes in the synthesis of proteins. They have the ability to decompose fats and increase efficiency of food increasing significantly in that way the body weight of animals. Because of such properties they were used in meat production. Many studies have been shown that anabolics may have toxic effects on health of humans and animals. Such actions led to a ban on their use within the European Union. Because of the economic profit, their misapplication is still known in some countries. There are six groups of anabolic substances, such as: stilbenes (stilbene derivatives, their salts and esters), antithyroid agents, natural steroid sexual hormones, synthetic steroid sexual hormones, resorcylic acid lactones and beta-agonists. Data of the meat analyses suggest that there is no abuse of these substances in the Republic of Croatia.
