Abstract

U ovom istraživanju proučavan je proces proizvodnje etanola na melasi šećerne repe šaržnim i šaržnim postupkom s pritokom supstrata u bioreaktoru s mješalom. Kvasac Saccharomyces cerevisiae je korišten kao radni mikroorganizam. Tijekom proizvodnje etanola na melasi šaržnim postupkom dobiveni su ovi pokazatelji uspješnosti bioprocesa: Yp = 41,943 g/L, Yp/s = 0,3185 g/g, E = 63,69 %, Pr = 0,7786 g/Lh, a tijekom šaržnog postupka s pritokom supstrata: Yp = 39,634 g/L, Yp/s = 0,2523 g/g, E = 50,46 %, Pr = 0,4105 g/Lh. Dobiveni rezultati istraživanja pokazuju da je šaržni proces proizvodnje bio uspješniji u odnosu na šaržni postupak s pritokom supstrata u proizvodnji etanola. Na osnovi rezultata istraživanja možemo zaključiti da je melasa šećerne repe pogodna za proizvodnju etanola, ali i da je nužna daljnja optimizacija šaržnog procesa s pritokom supstrata.

Abstract (english)

This research studied the process of ethanol production from sugar beet molasses by using batch and fed batch techniques in stirred tank bioreactor. Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae was used as a working microorganism. In this investigation during batch ethanol production on molasses following bioprocess efficiency parameters were observed: Yp = 41,943 g/L, Yp/s = 0,3185 g/g, E = 63,69 %, Pr = 0,7786 g/Lh, while in fed batch ethanol production: Yp = 39,634 g/L, Yp/s = 0,2523 g/g, E = 50,46 %, Pr = 0,4105 g/Lh. The results obtained in this research show that batch manner was more successful than fed batch manner. On the basis of these results it can be also concluded the sugar beet molasses could be successfully used for ethanol production and that further optimization of fed batch cultivation manner has to be performed.
