Abstract

U ovom radu istražena je denitrifikacija sintetske otpadne vode pri omjeru KPK/N 10 uz natrijev acetat kao izvor ugljika i početnim koncentracijama dušika od 20 ± 3 mg N/L, 40 ± 3 mg N/L i 60 ± 3 mg N/L. Pokusi su provedeni s koncentracijom mikrobne biomase 1,8 ± 0,2 g MLSS (engl. Mixed Liquor Suspended Solids, hrv. suspendirane čestice miješane tekućine)/L, dok su kao akceptori elektrona korišteni NO₂-N i NO₃-N. Učinkovitost uklanjanja nitrata i nitrita iznosila je 100 % za sve početne koncentracije dušika. Omjer ∆KPK/∆N i učinkovitost uklanjanja KPK bili su neovisni o početnim koncentracijama dušika. Omjer ∆KPK/∆N za nitrate iznosio je 4,3-4,4, a za nitrite 3,1-3,3. Brzina denitrifikacije i brzina oksidacije KPK rasle su porastom početne koncentracije dušika te su obje brzine bile više kada je kao akceptor elektrona korišten NO₃-N, u odnosu na NO₂-N za 12-25 %, odnosno 3446 %.

Abstract (english)

In this paper the denitrification of synthetic wastewater at a COD/N ratio of 10 using sodium acetate as the carbon source and initial nitrogen concentrations of 20 ± 3 mg N/L, 40 ± 3 mg N/L and 60 ± 3 mg N/L was investigated. The experiments were conducted with a microbial biomass concentration of 1.8 ± 0.2 g MLSS/L, utilizing NO₂-N and NO₃-N as electron acceptors. The removal efficiency of nitrates and nitrites was 100 % for all initial nitrogen concentrations. The ∆COD/∆N ratio and COD removal efficiency were independent of the initial nitrogen concentrations. The ∆COD/∆N ratio for nitrates was 4.3-4.4, while for nitrites, it was 3.1-3.3. The denitrification rate and COD oxidation rate increased with the initial nitrogen concentration, and both rates were higher when NO₃-N was used as the electron acceptor compared to NO₂-N by 12-25 % and 34-46 %, respectively.
