Abstract

Kemijskom pretvorbom kurkumina u pirazolne derivate nastoje se izbjeći negativne karakteristike kurkumina poput kemijske nestabilnosti i slabe biodostupnosti, te povećati njegovo biološko djelovanje (antikancerogeno, antimikrobno, antioksidativno djelovanje). Mikrovalnom sintezom postiže se kraće reakcijsko vrijeme, bolje iskorištenje, veća čistoća produkata te jednoliko i selektivno zagrijavanje. Cilj ovoga rada bio je sintetizirati tri ferocenska kurkuminoid-pirazola primjenom mikrovalnog zračenja, te usporediti rezultate mikrovalne sinteze s već ranije provedenim klasičnim kemijskim sintezama navedenih spojeva. Reakcije sinteze ferocenskih kurmuminoid-pirazola 2, 3 i 4 provedene su u mikrovalnom reaktoru, a iskorištenje reakcija je iznosilo, redom, 60%, 69% i 52%. Mikrovalnom sintezom spojeva 2, 3 i 4 postignuto je kraće vrijeme trajanja reakcije te bolje iskorištenje reakcije nego klasičnom kemijskom sintezom.

Abstract (english)

Chemical conversion of curcumin into pyrazole derivatives is aimed at avoiding negative characteristics of curcumin (such as chemical instability and low bioavailability), as well as at increasing its biological activity (anticancer, antimicrobial and antioxidant activity). Microwave-assisted synthesis achieves shorter reaction times, better yield, higher product purity, and uniform and selective heating. The aim of this thesis was to synthesize three ferrocene curcuminoid-pyrazoles by using microwave radiation and to compare the results of microwave synthesis with the previously conducted conventional chemical synthesis of the mentioned compounds. The synthesis of the ferrocene curcuminoid pyrazoles 2, 3 and 4 was carried out in a microwave reactor, and the yield of the reaction was 60%, 69% and 52%, respectively. In comparison with conventional chemical synthesis, microwave-assisted synthesis of compounds 2, 3 and 4 achieved a shorter reaction time and better reaction yield.
