Abstract

U radu je opisana provedba obrade komunalne otpadne vode grada Zagreba membranskim bioreaktorom tijekom 8 dana. Ciljevi ovog rada su bili: ispitati kvalitetu otpadne vode obrađene MBR-om, ocijeniti biološku aktivnost mikrobne biomase tijekom eksperimenta, istražiti utjecaj obrade otpadne komunalne vode na začepljenje membrana i potvrditi matematičke modele koji predviđaju sastav pojedinih frakcija otpadne vode i rast mikrobne biomase tijekom procesa. Tijekom obrade postignuto je uspješno uklanjanje KPK i BPK, te je uspostavljena nitrifikacija kojom je uklonjen amonijak u efluentu za 99,5 %. Uklanjanje ukupnog fosfora i ukupnog dušika nije postignuto u zadovoljavajućoj mjeri te u korištenoj komunalnoj otpadnoj vodi postoji potreba za naprednim biološkim uklanjanjem. Za predviđanje sastava pojedinih frakcija otpadne vode i količine nastanka aktivnog mulja, u eksperimentu su korišteni i potvrđeni matematički modeli. Uslijed provedbe eksperimenta došlo je do čepljenja membrana i smanjenja njihove permeabilnosti. Nakon kemijskog čišćenja, početna permeabilnost membrana je u potpunosti vraćena.

Abstract (english)

This work describes the process of municipal wastewater treatment of Zagreb using a membrane bioreactor during 8 days. The aim of this work was to test the quality of the wastewater treated with the MBR, to evaluate the microbial activity of the microbial biomass during the whole experiment, to study the influence of the municipal wastewater treatment on the fouling of the membranes and to verify the mathematical models used to predict the composition of the individual wastewater fractions and the growth of the microbial biomass during the process. During treatment, COD and BOD were successfully removed, and nitrification was established, removing 99.5% of the ammonia from the wastewater. Removal of total phosphorus and total nitrogen was not satisfactorily achieved, and there was a need for advanced biological removal in the municipal wastewater used. Mathematical models were used to predict the composition of each wastewater fraction and the amount of activated sludge, which were confirmed in the experiment. The result of the experiment was that the membranes clogged, and their permeability decreased. After chemical cleaning, the original permeability of the membranes was fully restored.
